Puppetry & Dance

Divya is trained in traditional string puppetry of Karnataka under her mother, Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Smt. Anupama Hoskere at the Dhaatu Puppet Theater for over 18 years. She has assisted her mother in experiments in creating puppet and dance interactives. She has travelled extensively across the worldperforming as a dancer and puppeteer in shows of the theater.

Malavikagnimitram

20 city USA tour | July 2019 - September 2019
Divya Hoskere performed the lead role of Malavika in the puppet and dance musical of Mahakavi Kalidasa’s Malavikagnimitram across 20 cities in the United
States of America.

The show was also performed at the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award function, New Delhi in 2022 & Natyashastra Utsav at Kalakshetra in 2019

Abharana
